Have an 04 Discovery 2 automatic . in the last couple of days it has developed a vibration . Only seems to do it under acceleration . Stops when I let off or coast. Not a tire or engine miss.Can also feel it in the steering wheel.
The rear rubber joint looks ok and don't feel movement in the front prop shaft. Any ideas? Thanks for the help

As long as it's just under load it can be the so called "torque converter shudder", how old is the oil in the gearbox? let out a bit at the drain plug and if it's black change it... twice. Drain and refill, go to a ride as the box to go trhough all the gears more times then drain and refill again and change the filter too... this way you'll have relatively fresh oil in it, changing just once will just dillute the soot with around 50%

The last guy i helped with this problem discovered it was a flywheel torque converter issue. Changing fluids first is a good idea. If that dosent resolve the problem you can inspect the flywheel by removing the starter.

Thanks for the ideas. Going to try a fluid change first and see how it goes. Will post back.
