I'm looking for the plastic locking pin that holds down the front edge of the battery cover. I know it's a small thing, but it bothers me every time I open the hood. Does anyone know of a source for these, the part number, or even what it's properly called?

I've tried looking in the catalogs of the usual suspects (Rimmers, Atlantic British) and some of the used parts people. On most used battery covers, the pin is either broken or missing. I've looked in the Dorman HELP! catalog to no avail.

Anyone know where I can get one of these? Would a Land Rover dealer carry it or be able to order it? Hate to think what that might cost...

Thanks in advance.

Aha! It's called a turnbuckle. Rovers North has them. Awesome!

Why is is it that no matter how many hours I spend looking for answers on my own, once I give up and post for help, the answer reveals itself?
