so after a long trip i hear a loud screachin/whining /knocking from the engine bay..
thaught there was something really wrong... so i pulled over..
did not fing any thing..
the noise changed with changing rpm's
so i finally i got out my scope
and had the motor idle..so it is the tensioner pulley the one below the ac..
and the one below the water pump is also on its way out...
any cheap replacement suggestions?
the cheapest ive found is something like $138 odd
but i also found this...click herethe pic is down here..

ok so just wanted to know if any one has tried changing the bearing before?...

They're on sale at DAP for $95 for oem (the spring loaded one). It's usually just easier to replace the assembly than to press out the bearings. Replacing the whole assembly means you get a fresh spring as well...

Motorcars LTD has the shaft bearing for 30 something bucks...yes they are relatively easy to change. You need a good gear puller to get the job done (2 jaw worked the best for me...due to the limited surface space on the pully assymbly).
