I been bleeding and buying coolant and can't seem to keep my rover from running hot. it will say normal temp then blow hot air then cold then it will run hot... i check the coolant level it was still full... well actually coming out

Year .. Model?.. Mileage.... History... Maintenance.....?
Sounds like difficulty with bleeding the cooling system? Coolant leak? Coolant loss?
Hard to try and help without more information

2003 Land rover Dis 2 only coolant lost is coming out the overfill tube. water pump been change. It will get hot and then cold.. If i do bleed it get warm. Then once i drive it will get very hot.Then after a while turn cold. The coolant take would be completely full of coolant and coming out the overfill tank.

Search some of the similar threads on this site for tips and proper cooling system bleeding. Sure sounds like you have air in the system.
Thermostat ever been changed?
