Hi All

Something perculiar happened yesterday. I have noticed on the odd occasion when travelling at high speeds and I hit a bump, my speedo needle moves violently and then settles. However yesterday, a hit a series of corrugations in the road, and my speedo needle went beserk and stayed beserk. I travelled 50 kms, with it moving back and forth from 30 km/h to 100 km/h. It seemed to be more prominent when I slackended off the gas. Any possible explanation for this, or is this a sign of something more ominous to come. However today, it is operating as normal! :dunno:

Please specify what model LR.

Could be the cable.

If I can assume that you're refering to a series speedo, as you posted in the series section, than you need to pull your inner cable all the way out and lube it with white grease (Lubriplate)

I agree, lube it. I took mine out and hung it from my work beanch. I then pored noraml oil down the cover until it came out the other side. (did not take the cable out.)

Also check for sharp kincks in the cable.
