could some one explain the blinking of the brake light on the dash board
I have been watching it blink for the last 10000 km - every thing seems ok
what is conected to that red light ? :drink1: .

Could be that you are low on brake fluid which means you either have a leak or your brakes are about worn out.
So go check your brake fluid level.

And check the connections on the cap of the reservoir and that the cap is on properly.

recently I replaced all the of the brake pads except the hand brake witch is pretty warn.
brake fluid level seems ok. I notice there are two cups with brake fluid, could the piping be slightly blocked?
has a load squeaking noise, when braking have any conection?
or is the light connected only to brake fluid level ?

The line should only be connected to the master cylinder unless you are talking about the e-brake light flashing.
Exactly which light is flashing?

its the B in brackes light. some times it doesn't flash at all & some times its on non stope.
I checked the car isn't haunted, some times I have my doubts.

The Brake warning lamp on Defenders is illuminated by TWO things. 1) level switch in master cylinder. 2) E Brake switch, located behind rubber boot of E Brake lever.

If you visually confirm that the level in the master cylinder is OK, I can pretty much bet your E Brake switch has stuck, from debris behind the boot, or the single wire has chaffed where it goes through the seatbox from the harness, below.
