hi fellas

i'm new to the forum.
my family just bought an 02 series ii se7. my father just replaced all four brake pads, he didn;t take it to to the dealership. ever since than (about 3 weeks; the discovery is a weekend vehicle) three warnignlights have been illuminated continuously. the traction control, hill descent control and abs.

we read the owners manual and it said in a case when all three light up, its is to do with the traction control, and that it should be taken to a dealership.

could in some way, my father messed around with the sensors or something? he just replaed pads, thats all? has this happened to any one before? the manaul also says it takes 500miles for the pads to seat themselves?

another question:
my father was cleaning around the connections on the battery. ever since than the climate control has switched from fahrenheit to celsius. and the clock is off by 20 mins, and the ac blows warm air first than cool? does the discovery not have a back up battery, and do we have to reset everything again?

cheers

look under the topic I just posted, i had the same problem. It was nothing to do with the brake pads, your abs sensor line is messed up. Good thing is that a DII is alot cheaper to fix then a D1, the part is about 80 bucks. LandRover will charge you anywhere form 80-100 for the diagnostic to see which sensor it is, labor should be around 2 hrs.

About the clock, just reset the dam thing, use a tooth pick to set it. To reset your temp, hold the two outside button on your climate control and it will set it to fahrenheit, the default is celsius so that is why it swiched to that when you were messing with the battery.
