Hey all

I messed up big time when I was taking off the god forsaken XYZ switch and broke the half threaded bolt’s threaded part which secures and connects the rod and the switch.

My head stopped working, how can I secure the flat metal to the bolt?

Can I use JB weld or even Zip Ties to lock the flat metal (one that connects the switch to the gear selecting rod)?

Please help me out here people

I'm confused. I don't see anything broken.

I see the transmission selector shaft, which as you note has a flat side to engage the hub of the XYZ switch. It appears normal, not broken.

Are you saying the end of it broke off and it's no longer long enough to extend through the XYZ switch hub and be long enough to thread a nut onto it?
