I read somewhere that a Land Rover had a Buick engine, and that Land Rover was owned by Ford. What's with this? Just purchased a 99 Disco I, are some of the major parts, motor, trans, transfer case, axles from other manufacturers?

1960's Engine

Thanks, this was a very interesting article. Add some cubic inches to this old engine, and my Discovery could be a muscle Rover. Ha!

3.9,4.0 to 4.6

S Couch, when i went from a 3.9 to a 4.6 that was a wow difference. I almost sold it because it's so underpowered. The RPI chip and cam also helped. This passes a smog test real easy. With the 5-speed it's fun to run the gears. Carl..........o&o>..................
