Discovery 2, 2001. Previous owner took it to independent audio repair shop. Works for a month then broke again. It reads " No CD'. Please help.

Mine has done that before. Removed the cartridge, blew the unit out lightly with compressed air, has worked o.k since except every once in a while (couple of months) shows no disc message. I pop the cartridge out then back in again and all ISO.k
