Hey! I recently bought a Disco II 2001 for my first car, I have the locking Diff transfer case, just no means of actually engaging it. So, ive been looking around for the cdl linkages and they expensive, like 4-500$! so my question is do ALL 2004 discoveries have the CDL linkages in them? because if so i can have an ease of mind while buying one online. Also, if i cant seem to find a CDL locker from a Disco II would a DI be worth getting and modifying? AND one more question, if i do install this cdl from the 2004 or any Linkage, will i lose my traction control? I've heard it happen to people and some not?
Thanks in Advance!!!

Rover did not offer a locker in the Discos, they are open diffs. There are though many after market lockers.
Why not try a D1 CDL shifter for around !80 with the H/Lo shift plate?

Hey mike,
I didn't mean lockers... Opps, I meant can I install linkage from the 2004 with no problems? Because I have a local guy out here who is holding one for me for 65$ !
Thanks again!

For $64, if it is complete, yes, that is a great deal.
When you get ready to do this call me for directions.
