Anyone have any feedback on doing a coil pack relocation?
Any recommendation on where to get a kit, if so?
thanks!

If I remember correctly, the kit was very costly. $350 maybe for just the mount, bolts, the extended coil pack wire connectors and the HT leads for the spark plugs.
Replacing the coil packs is easy especially if you don't have the SAI plumbing in the way.
I honestly would love to do this mod. I know some people say it’s not worth it, and not necessary etc etc, but man are those coil packs in an awful spot. It would just be nice to have the OPTION of replacing them without taking the manifold off.
I installed the coil pack relocation kit a few years ago when one of my coils died. The coil was such a pain to get to and my faith in manufacturing processes of modern car parts is pretty low so I figured the new packs wouldn't last as long as the old ones. The relocation kit installs pretty easily and and moves the coils right up next to the jack / fuse box under the hood. It takes the coil packs out from that super-hot, difficult to access spot.

That being said, I'm doing an LS swap on my Disco. My 4.6 is out and I do want to sell the coil packs, plug wires and relocation kit. I haven't posted them for sale here yet but when I do I will be asking full retail for the relocation kit and the wires since the kit isn't available anymore. You have to have the custom plug wires for it to fit. The stock wires aren't the long enough, even if you pull hard :)

Did you ever sell the kit? If not, I would be interested in buying it. If you private message me at my user name at gmail.com

Mike, do you know if you can get this kit now? I cannot find it on ebay, but perhaps you know where to get it?
I still have the kit. I can't find any of them available anywhere. I guess the guy isn't making them anymore. I'll reach out via gmail.

Looking for a kit myself. Did you turn up any details?

The original seller is no longer making them. I sold mine to johnsmurray2010.

You ever get this going Mike? I made a kit, minus the last bracket (finding suitable z shape to hold the coil in position). I can show you what I did if you have some time. I'm going to be around for the holidays and working on the truck for the next 2-weeks if you wanna swing by bro. Give me a call - 916.201.5279

I made my kit for under $200

My unsolicited 2¢: I would re-work it so that plug isn't pushed into the radiator hose. It'll eventually rub a weak spot and the hose will burst right there.

Thank you, much appreciated. Still fiddling with things quite a bit as i only got this truck running last week. Definitely a work in progress project and I need to work on the hoses to get rid of all those spring loaded clips.
I never did do this, but it’s still on the list!!!

A company called Extinct Motorsports is making the kit again. You can unplug the original coil packs (they're hard to reach) and abandon them in place if you get new coil packs. If you don't want to replace the coil packs, you'll need to remove your intake manifold to remove and relocate the old ones. Some say that you can remove them without taking off the manifold, but I think it'd be a real struggle.

No - No reference for wire-loom. I just loomed mine with some spare I had laying around. The only looms you need to make are the pigtails/extensions. I made mine a little longer so I could route my wires UNDER my plume instead of next to it like others. I tend to like my engine a little more dressed.

No - You do not need to remove your engine. If you have non-SAI, then you can get your coil pack out relatively easily but if you have SAI, then you are going to need to remove the top half of your intake manifold/plume to get the Coil Pack out.

Good luck Franck!
