I own a Defender 90 2003 model td5. I am looking at changing the gear ratios in the transfer box with the ones out of the Discovery.Has anyone done this modification, is there more than one gear ratio I can choose from Discovery transfer box. I need to know Landrover part numbers for the gears & if anyone has infomation what reduction these gears give me. Is htere a web site for Landrover technical Information, your help is very much appreciated.NICK

You will be altering the LT230 to the LT230Q setup. Ashcrofts offer this conversion if you don't want to replace the entire transfer box.
