Hi people. I just bought a 1985 Rangie. I also have a 1988 110 Defender that isn't running because the motor is crapped out and there's rust in the firewall and doors but the running gear, i.e. gearbox, transfer case, diffs, etc are in very good condition. What major parts might I be able to use from the Defender if something breaks on the Rangie?

Thanks for any info!

Does the rangie have an lt230 transfer case with a separate gear box like the defender, or does it have the old setup (LT95 i think) with the transfer case integrated into the gear box?

The RRC should have the lt230 box and a LT77. The 88 110 should have the same. The rear diff probably will not interchange as it's likely the 110 has a salsibury rear end the front diff should interchange
