It sounds like he is speaking about the center diff lock, not the hi/lo transfer case. I assume you have a 2003 or newer disco? The movement on the CDL lock doesn't have the same range as the transfer case engagement. Sounds completely normal to me. Hope this helps.

Good day all,
Another snowfall here in Vermont.. Vehicle is awesome in sonow but when you engage the Diff Lock and light comes on in dash when you move shifter to left to engage there is no real big movement like from high too low range is this normal??
