had battery of to recharge but didn't get it back on for a week due to ill health reconnected it and ignition lights and fan come on without turning key,took key out lights and fan still on tried to start dead,: tried to lock nothing but 1 bleep any ideas guys cheers.:frown

Sounds like a dead battery.

It seems that the ignition switch(which is at the end of the barrel) is stuck in II, open the under dash compartment and unplug that brown multiplug which is plugged in front RH side near the fuses...if that helps you'll need to see why the switch is stuck in II, it can be due to the barrel's rod or the switch itself.
