not difficult at all using removal tools. there are two slots on the upper side of the radio, that you push the flat tool in, to release the holds and pull the head unit out. Members have made their own using hack saw blades, metal file hangers(the metal strip in the paper file hanger). I will find some pics and post.

I hope you don't have any trouble. Are you adding an aftermarket head unit, or adding something like the GROM BT unit to the stock unit? Reason I ask, I can help you with any wiring questions, I have the wiring diagrams, part numbers for needed adapters, etc.
