I saw this on my girlfriend's Disco 2 I'm working on but I saw the wires were cut off. It’s below left front door on frame. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance.

It's the compressor for the rear air bags.

It's missing the top cover so the pump may be bad by now. You can usually find them on eBay. Was the Disco converted to coils in the back? That could be why this was cut.

Totally talking out my butt but at this point I would believe it less likely you'd find airshocks still installed in one of our vehicles. Most of us remove/delete them near immediately.

Yes, it has coils. I didn't even remember these originally came with air bags. I recently bought another 2002 and that too has coils. Thank you.
