Having done a search, it seems that the burst rear brake pipes are a known issue, and a bugger to replace. Our red light cam on the dashboard on Thursday, so it went to the local garage yesterday. The right rear brake line is leaking at the clip. I have been advised that this is a body off job to replace. Also, they can't make up the pipe with it being an ABS system, so has to be OEM part. Is there anything else I can do to get this fixed... I can see this being a very expensive repair for relatively cheap parts costs. It's an '08 Disco 3 (Auckland). Any help wpuld be appreciated. Cheers

Just as an update - I had a quote of over $4000 + GST for the job...Needless to say I was gobsmacked! So I picked it up from the garage quickly and brought it home.....now looking for an alternative 馃檨

Semantics. I believe the OP is referring to the brake lines
