Thanks to LR North Scottsdale the problem of the bottom door panels vibrating under medium to heavy bass has been resolved. The panels were removed and tape backed felt was added to the backside of panels, new clips were installed and panels refitted. Now the 850watt system can be released without sounding like an 80's Honda Civic!?

HI,

Was really considering one of these. How has your experience with it been. LR Scottsdale only has the base model in to view and drive, which drives well, but I have been reading a lot about issues with trim and the entertainment system that these are experiencing.

Has the dealer been responsive? penske was not the best when dealing with the BMW side of the lot, was hoping the LR side is different...

To date my D5 has been to the shop 5 times now for this issue, and the last 2 times with JLR North America engaged. I was told this last time by JLR NA that “the system is operating within parameter” and “better than most of the fleet” because they added some felt into the trim panels with new clips. Let me tell you, it’s NOT fixed and still sounds horrible! I am so dissatisfied that likely this will be my first and last LR. I am still trying to escalate this as even an untrained ear can tell this high performance sound system sounds like junk! If you buy a 2017 LR I would NOT get the dynamic package as its not worth the money and problems it brings!

If you are still dis-satisfied with your dealer after 5 visits maybe it's time to see a specialist.
I would say that if I went to the doctor 5 times and my problem was not resolved I would likely ask to be referred to an expert.
I would think that ther is likely a high end stereo shop in your area?????
In a perfect world every dealer could quickly and easily permenantly fix every concern on every model.

The reality is they can't immediately become experts on every model the day they come out.
Remember this is a first production year vehicle and every first year vehicle will likely have some quirks to be worked out. That's nothing new. Same happens for pretty much every manufacturer.
If you bought this vehicle so in a way you signed up to be one of the "Guinea Pigs"

If it were mine.
I would
-Try to resolve the issue myself
- contact a private specialist

If you can resolve it you will likely be helping other "Guinea Pigs" / owners to work the bugs out.
It's possible that Land Rover may even compensate you for your expense.

Other than the radio how Doug you like the truck?
