Did you put a like for like ecm in? Or did you swap from SAI to non-SAI, or the other way?

I'm confused. What does a fuel pressure sensor have to do with SAI?
Maybe that is more the question at this point.
I personally have had a 2000 non s.a.i. I recall it has no sensor
2001 non s.a.i. With a sensor
2002 with s.a.i but no sensor
This is assuming that the sensor is always in the top of the fuel pump unit.
Sounds like it may be simpler to get a s.a.i. E.c.mfor a s.a.i. Truck and vice versa

I have the same issue and just posted looking for a solution. Mine has the fuel pressure sensor and so did the one I replaced it with. Mine also has SAI and everything seems to work fine. I have even tested the pressure sensor with a volt meter and confirmed the it has 5v and that it is sending 2.3 - 4.6v to the ecm; and is building and releasing pressure. I have an appointment at Rov-n-tech in Phoenix next Thursday. If I don't find a solution before then, I'll pay them and let you know what they find.

+1^^^, you need a non-NAS fuel map which doesnt expect that fuel pressure sensor's input or if the ECM is from original NAS spec vehicle and the sensor is on the pump there's a wiring issue somewhere(provided the sensor is good)

I just fixed this issue on mine. With a NAS ECM and the wrong engine wiring harness. On bank C0636 of the ECM some use Pin 6 and others don't. I moved the pins 30 to 4 and added 6 to the fuel pressure switch and it runs great. True, it is easier to buy a new matching ECM, but this cost me about an hour in time and almost no cash.
