I have an '85 that had a 3.5L with twin Strmbergs on it. I eventually ditched that engine and installed a 4.0L out of a Disco and in doing so put an Edelbrock 4 barrel on. After a couple of weeks of tweaking, the truck is an animal, all the while getting just under 14 mpg and that's with a winch, roof rack and lights adding to the wonderful aerodynamic design of the Range Rover! Check with your state and its emission laws because you won't be able to legally do this conversion everywhere.
