Many diesel injection pumps have a provision for an electric solonoid valve. Even on some pumps which do not have the valve installed, there is provision for one to be installed. I'm too old to remember if the pump on your 2 1/4 has provision for such an option. Any good service shop can tell you if you can add one to your pump.

Hi Rob
you need a 12V electric solonnid, thet will simulate the stop cable action.
you will have to use a connecting rod between the pump and the solonnid,
and a return spring.
ignition switch is on, the solonnid pull the fuel lever(on the pump).
ignition switch is off, the return spring pull the fuel lever back.

engine stop

Hi  I'm new to this fourm ,but I think I can help with this one
You will need a "constant duty solinoid" to pull the stopper leaver on when the key is turned on , and a spring to pull it to the off position when the key is turned off .
If you don't use constant duty the solinoid will heat up and burn out!
This should be avialable from a GOOD auto elect
Ihope this info helps
