Ok, I'm getting ready to change my water pump which as obviously failed and I'll change out my thermostat and fan clutch while I'm in there per Mike's recommendations.
Question is, will I get a proper drain of the old coolant while taking the water pump and thermostat off or is there something else I need to do. I know some take the garden hose and flush it out. But, this would be hard water. Is it necessary to flush the system at this point with water or do I install the new parts, fill with new coolant, bleed the system, and call it good?
Thanks,
