Wow, there is not much activity on this forum, is there. I am really surprised by that. I just joined, but looking at the dates of the last posts it seems you can go weeks without having a single post. Seems like you need to look elsewhere if you need help with an issue.

It is unfortunate...

Yes, this forum is very quiet. There are other forums for the just for the LR2, (also known as FL2 or Freelander 2) with an international following with regular questions and answers from knowledgeable users. They even have dealers giving member discounts on oils and parts.

Probably because the people here are primarily from the US, and the Freelander was, for the most part, a disaster in the US.

The FL2 is way more successful in the UK. As for forums, it doesn't really matter where you own a car, a forum is international, and a FL2 is just about the same where ever it is, (except for the position of the steering wheel).

I didn't say the forum was only for US members, I was just saying where most are from.

That is too bad. I love mine. Just about ready to turn over 97K miles on my Tambora Flame Metallic 2008. I did find another forum that provided answers to the tailgate locking/unlocking issue I am having, much more of an international presence there, and much more activity.

It should also be noted that this forum deals with both versions of the freelander, and they are very different cars only really sharing the name. Probably the only part that they share is the valve caps on the wheels!

I noticed the same, I belong to an A.C. Cobra forum and you can get an answer in minutes.
I have posts in here that are still unanswered for about 6mos. :confused and I thought they did not like me:bawling:
