Has anyone ever welded a front trailer hitch receiver to a classic?

Yes. I modified a rear hitch off a junkyard S10. Used it for a snow plow I had and a receiver style winch mount.

Built one for my RRC to mount a winch.
That way I can have the winch on the front or the back, & take it off for in town.
