2003 Disco 2

My fuel flap will not close unless i have someone hold it closed while I push the button again. It is not the clip on the door/ flap.
I have two Disco 2's, and I can compare the two. What I am seeing is the pin that goes into the clip is sticking out too far. This is the pin from the actuator. When I watch it as the gas button is pushed, it seems to be working correctly, except it sticks out at least 3/8 of an inch too far so it blocks the gas flap from closing fully. Is this pin adjustable? Or any other suggestions?

I recently removed the actuator from my 2000 before it went to scrap. It is quite easily accessed from the inside with the interior panel popped off. 2 mounting bolts. I don't see any adjustment but there may have been adjustment where it is mounted. I can send a picture of the actuator if it needed. Let me know

I don't -think- that it's adjustable, but you might want to pull the actuator mechanism off of the truck and take a look, see if there appears to be a way to adjust it, or if you can see any obvious damage. Might need to go scrounge an actuator from a junkyard, I can't imagine it would be terribly expensive.
