We have a Discovery 2.5Tdi 1998 and would like to know whether it is possible & Practical to convert to LPG ?
My wife drives it each day and is finding it expensive to run at 25mpg.
If it is possible to convert, what is the cost and what are the benefits and disadvantages ?

25 mpg, how can you complain? We don't get Tdi's here in the United States, but if we did, I would rejoice @ 25mpg! Our "UFO" (unleaded fuel only) V8's get 13 to 16 mpg on a good day. Although it may be possible to propane inject a Tdi for greater performance, I don't believe that propane could be used as the primary fuel, as the Tdi is a compression-fired engine as opposed to an ignition-fired engine as we have over here. I may be wrong though, as I have NO experience at all w/ the Tdi's. Thank You, LRW.
