My gas gauge decided to stop working and with the gas prices now it sucks feeling up all the time so I don't run out. What could it be? has anybody else had this prblem the gas light is constantly on
Well, i don't know if you've checked the obvious so lets try it. If you look in the driver wheel well, peering over the top of the chassis, you can see the gas tank, and you will see the two wires that plug into the fuel level sender. I would pull them - make sure there is no corrosion, it's just two blade connectors which can corrode easily. After that, i'm not sure where you would go, I'll let someone else chime in.
Thank you that did it. The wires well the green one was really bad but does it go on top of the connection or the bottom it is the single wire the other one has two wires. It works but I am just double checking if it is right.
Thanks again. I don't have a manual and once overed the connection before but it looked good cleaned it and it still did not work the wire was corroded so much there was no copper wire but where it corroded was inside the black insulating stuff so I could not see it.
