Ok, between a Series I Disco and a RRC with comparable stats what do you folks average ? They both have the 3.9 V8, except earlier RRC's but trying to compare VS. Toyota Cruisers, thanks.

1998 4.6hse

I mix my fuel - meaning sometimes premium sometimes mid 91, andI now have 112,600 on the odom. I avg 13-14.5 city/hwy, and I get 16-17 highway.
I do use fuel additive every 1000 miles or so.

Neither Cruiser, Disco, or RR are decent on gas mileage. If fuel economy is part of the equation don't think of any of these.

out of this world!

74 SIII 88" 335500 Miles! 2.25 L motor (about) 200 miles per tank - 45 liters. There is very little diff between highway and town although 4X4 driving nearl halfs my range.

(I am not sure how to convert liters to US Gal.)

I have a Series 1 Disco with 56000miles and on average I get around the 16-20MPG on 91octaine ( I have a bit of a heavy foot )

Towing my boat in heavy wind drops it down to 12MPG :dunno:

Just now I've got a 2.5 Petrol in my LR90 (1985) and it gives me about 12 to 13mpg on petrol and gas(lpg) (no difference).

So I can get exactly 115 miles per tank. Difficult when a regular route I take has a 120 mile gap between petrol stations (good job I have duel fuel)

What's the difference between your formula and mine?
Uh, your decimal place is one too many to the left, As in, your multiplier is one tenth the correct number

Also where did you derive the fiqure 37.85 litres?
One (Gallon), divided by your number= 37.85

If you move the decimal one place to the right, the number =3.785
Forget the formulas for a minute, If you can agree with me that there are 3.785 litres to the gallon, take ONE, and divide it by 3.785, ya get .2642 right? Not .02642
