Just a thank you to Land Rover Colorado Springs, new gas tank fitted, $20.00 worth of gas, free... And a trip to and from work in a new LR3... Nice vehicle, but will stick with my Disco 1 with 183K miles on it.

wonderful service

Just picked up my disco from LR Chattanooga (for the gas tank recall)... man these guys are awesome!! This is the first time I've taken my baby to their shop as I do a lot of service myself. When I drove it in ... dirty from mud and pollen flying around, not to mention bird doodoo. When I picked it up ... Clean! They spit shined it inside and out! Not only did they do all that, but they replaced my antenna that was cracked and gave me a spare tire cover FREE OF CHARGE!!! Now I know where I'm taking my disco if I need any major service (but hopefully not anytime soon!!!). :drink1:

Good to hear the news about chattanooga. I'm in Tennessee also. I haven't decided where to do my future buisness. I live in Nashville, went to school in Knoxville, and I'm originally from the Chattanooga area. Everyone's nice at the dealerships, but you never know about the service till experienced first hand. I'll be purchasing a rig within the next year and will now consider Chattanooga. ( I've heard bad things in the past, maybe they're try'n to make up for it)

Gas Tank Service in San Deigo

Well I have my appointment at the Dealer on Wednesday Morning, at Pioneer Centers, also a Porsche Dealer. If they gave me $20. of free gas, the guage would barely move! 91 octane gas is $3.08 a gallon near my house. With all my mods the mileage is still 11+ per gallon!

Well I took mine up to Keeler Land Rover in Albany,NY

I called first and gave them the vin (1997 Discovery SE7) seeing how they are 1hr north of me. I dropped it off Sunday night and here it is Wed. and still no rover to drive.

They called and said that ithe vin didn't fall into the ones covered by the recall. So seeing how I have a warranty I told them to give it a checking over. Now They are replacing the valve cover gasket, and a part to do with the steering (forgot what part he said it was). I also found out that these 2 parts are not covered and will be costing $1,000 and not sure when i will be getting back now seeing how they had to order a part.

man, you guys are lucky to have good dealers. Mine stinks. When I take my rover there to get something fixed they give it back to me fast, but its the same as when I dropped it off (dirty) and sometimes its still not fixed

I also dont get any cool stuff from my dealer :bawling: , they just shove me out and hand me the keys.

I guess thats the service I have to live with when your local LR dealer is a Cadillac/Buick/Land Rover dealer.

The dealer here in Calgary told me in August that the next time I come in they will replace my tank. Ditto on the extra's here as well,,a car wash, inside and out. Maybe if I hint about the antenna being a bit loose they will do it but somehow I doubt it.
