I bought this vintage Land Rover a couple days ago. I was told that it is a 1977 Defender Series III model 109. After looking online I am very confused. I need help from some of you experts identifying this make and model. Any help will be most appreciated.

It is a 1977 Land Rover Series III 3 door wagon. Not a Defender at all.

The big difference is that you have leaf springs, probably a 4 cyl gas or diesel engine and front drum brakes.

Looks nice though be sure to post up some more pics, don't be afraid to ask questions and welcome to the forum

Forgot to add that someone put a Defender grill on it and some LR3 decals on the hood.

Love the color Bonatti Gray is one of my all time favorites.

And for what it's worth they really put a ton of work into it, that is the best looking Series I've ever seen! It needs an LS now, it's already a hybrid why not go a step further....... Still have leaf springs?
