I have a 1996 Range Rover 4.0 SE that used to start instantly when turning the key. Lately it fails to start without pumping the accelerator and cranking the starter for 10 seconds or so. I m not sure if it could be a bad check valve in the fuel injection line, a bad cold start solenoid, or ??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Once started, it runs normally - cheers!!!

Pumping accelerator of a fuel injected vehicle is worthless, especially if fuel pump is going out. Carburetor cars can be pumped for any fuel left in bowl. Check fuel pressure with gauge at fuel rail by manifold. 37Lbs. running.
