I have a 03 Discovery. On the passenger side headlight both marker lights are out. I am sure they failed separately but it is time for inspection. I purchased Sylvania 2825 rated at 13.5V, 5W. They do not work. I looked closely at the old bulb. They are rated at 1.13W 12V. I took a measurement at the socket and sure enough it is around 1.63. Does anyone have a part number for this bulb?

Giday LRCC, are you sure the bulb is blown?? Could it be that the fuse is gone or is it somehow not getting power to the bulb?? If you have a watt metre see if you are getting power. If you don't have a meter, whilst tedious but a quick way would be to put the suspect bulbs in the driver's side and see if they work.

The plot thickens. I used bulbs from the working light to the non-working light. No go. I used the new bulbs on the working light and the new lights worked. So I know I purchased the correct bulbs. Now a new problem. When I was testing the good light for current I must have bridge the circuit because the side headlight marker I was not testing went out immediately. There are two marker lights in the headlight housing. So now I am convinced there is a fuse for the headlight orange marker lights. I am getting 2.6 volts from passenger side markers and 0 volts now from the driver side. I have no idea where the fuse is. It is not on the engine bay. Maybe a weak fuse? I do not know yet. Any idea on location of the fuse?

Update - Fuse 11 was blown. that only fixed the driver side marker light. I am only getting 2 volts from the passenger side marker light and 12 from the driver side. I have an electrical issue somewhere. When fuse 11 was blown the rear lights and license plate were out. Here is the odd part. One rear marker was still on and that technically should have been out. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the trailer hitch wiring that is impacting this. I will keep looking around.

Are you measuring at the bulb socket or at the harness connector to the lamp assembly?

I think they're W3W - easily confused w/ W5W (which I used before smelling slight hint of melting plastic lol) - I had them on a work bench before I retrofit the facelift bumper / headlights into my '99. Both bulbs from used headlights were blown as well.

I think the same bulbs in my RRS AND LR3 markers (in the headlights) were also blown! I replaced those w/ LEDs to match the factory HIDs though.

I was thinking the same thing.. Here is what I did. I moved the working driver side headlight and plugged it into the passenger side connector the marker lights did not come on.

Passenger side is measuring about 2 volts. Driver side measures 12V

I like to close a post out with a solution. I failed PA inspection this time so I was forced to fix this. I replaced bulbs and fuse with no luck. I swapped working driver light with nonworking passenger and working light stopped working I watched a few YouTube videos on how to test for a good ground. The marker light has two bulbs on the same circuit aka "side light" has its own ground as seen in this illustration below. With a multimeter I confirmed power to the fuse box and power to the marker light if I used a separate ground. I cut the existing ground and rewired one to the exiting earth bar that is close. I have had this truck 4 years and I do not think it has ever worked. This truck had an accident in this corner so I guess that is when it was cut somewhere. Once I got serious about fixing this it took a few hours of troubleshooting. I am sure I saved hundreds doing this myself.
