I have a friend with an 03 that has just over 100,000 miles on it. He has owned it for five years. It's been pretty well maintained(it's had a tune up, fluids changed etc.).
He sent this to me and I am trying to figure out what it might be. He said the check engine light has not come on at all so I am assuming no codes to read as he has been driving it like this for the last five days.

Just having a few issues with my truck. If I drive somewhere and turn it off and then come back out and start it back up then drive a short distance it will start idling really low (around 300-400) rpm and act like it's going to stall out. I have to rev it up to keep going. Then when I drive away it will be at half power for about 500 yards then go back to normal and stay that way the rest of the time until I stop somewhere and start it back up again-then it will come back after the restart and do the same thing. It's pretty consistent. Sometimes while I'm driving it feels like it's lost a little power as well, or like it's missing.
I helped him purchase this truck and surprisingly the head gaskets had been done by the dealer at 50,000 miles. He had a new crank position sensor put in about 20,000 miles ago. New plugs/wires were done around that time as well.
Could it be the fuel pump going already?
Any help/advice would be great.
