i had the same problem ....i mean same code make sure you seal the VIS motor real good ,,,no air leak..doesnt mater if you replace the VIS if you didn't seal them it will give you the same misfire..

Hi blueski,

Did you fix your misfire codes to your Freelander? I too switched out both VIS motors as well I switched out the following;

New intake gaskets, o-rings (green ones), sealed w/ atv gasket sealer the plenum edge (but not the VIS motors). Triple double checked my vacuum lines. New spark plugs and coils. What else did you do to fix your misfires?

I'd appreciate your help!
