Please can anyone advise me.
I have just put £15.00 of petrol in my Discovery, I already had 1/4 of a tank and once I realised my error, I topped up the tank with £45.00 worth of diesel.
If I continue to top up with diesel will this be okay?

If you have 1/4 tank full of petrol in a diesel tank DRAIN IT NOW.
Diesel fuel has lubricating properties , petrol does not.

dont drive it. drain the tank.

To drain the tank you need to take out off the lower filler hose.

Its not too hard. then get a pump and pump it out.

If you dont have the ability to do so get it towed to the shop.

you will also need to change the fuel filter and drain the lines.

If you dont your screwed.

No lubricating qualities mean the injectors and pump will be damaged.

I cant tell you how many Ford Truck Diesel owners that have done it.

The lucky ones realize it at the moment at the pump.

The idiots drive off and ruin a few if not all the oil pressurized injectors.

They run four hundred bucks a pop.

basically the diesel fuel actually has lubricating properties that gas doesnt have.

Man I sure hope he didnt even crank that engine.
It happened to me twice, Once with my BMW M5 Euro and my BMW 525 Euro..both tanks have huge mouths and will accompodate any pump...good thing I caught the errors at the pump.
Good luck there MUNBOB.
