Get yourself a Haynes Manual. There are 39 steps covered for a 5 speed trans removal and 46 steps for an automatic trans shown in the manual. If you haven't removed and replaced a few car transmissions before, get some help as this isn't all that easy and the box/transfer case unit is bloody heavy (you need a floor jack). Once you have the trans off, then remove the transfer case from the gearbox - 9 steps. Leave yourself plenty of time for this job, probably two weekends if its your first time. Oh yes, one more thing - make sure that it is absolutely necessay to take your transmission out first! Best of luck.
