So i have a terrafirma 3'' HD lift with a stock rear driveshaft with new rotoflex and an upgraded HD front driveshaft. I'm wondering how many inches of lift the driveshafts can hold to or angle to before i need to go to an extended drive shaft. I'm planning on going to a 5'' lift soon.

At the very least you'll need extended drive shafts at that lift. Or a spacer. Your also going to need front and rear cranked arms or your springs will be in the shape of a C. Add a adjustable pan hard bar and drag link to bring the front wheels back into alignment.

why a 5" lift?
as noted above you are going to need to change everything. and i assume you are going to want to put bigger tires too.. that means upgraded axles
