I went to replace the seal that keeps the cv oil out of the wheel bearinngs, assuming that I'd have to pull out a ball bearing to get to it. I was surprised by a fragile looking roller bearing that doesn't look lihe it will come out in one piece. The manual says to drill and break the thrust ring, which I assume is the donut outside of the cage. None of the exploded views actually show it. The manual shows a collet style puller attachment for a slide hammer. I have a similar looking one for pilot bearings, but it's way too small. Has anyone out there been able to remove and replace this bearing ?
