OK... so I parked my truck this weekend (1995 4.0) near my buddies house (about an hour from my house). I get back to it and it gives me an alarm triggered message. No big deal right, perhaps someone may have backed into it or something. No broken glass, nothing missing, no dent, everything was just fine.
Well everything was just fine until I tried to start the truck. Seems that it disables the engine too. That is a great thing, if you have the "clickie" key that will disable this helpful feature, but I trail run and tend to always have a mess going, so I like to leave the easily broken key at home and just use a standard key for the truck.
Needless to say, after this fiasco, I'll leave the clickie inside the truck from now on.
Does anyone know of a way to disable these helpful features?
