So here is my problem. It is very difficult to remove the ignition key from the ignition of my '02 DII. I know that you have to push the key in in order to get it to get into position to be removed. It is the "push" that is giving me a headache. The key is very difficult, if not impossible to push in most times. I have had keys made and still no better.

I read another forum that said removing fuse #12 would fix the issue but I want a second opinion.

Can anyone give me a little advice.

Try wiggling the steering back and forth. Should come out OK.

i would go ahead and change the ignition as they go bad very often

Sounds like a worn tumbler to me too. You could try lubricating it with a lightweight lube / penatrant spray, may help, can't hurt, worth a try.
