First off let’s start with some nomenclature

as you are in the US, it is highly unlikely you have an immobilizer on a DI

I suspect what you replaced was the ECU and the 10-AS alarm unit

The 10-AS is a green box with IIRC a white and black multi-pin connector

Now that we have our verbiage correct (or suspect correct) we can get to the horn of the dilemma

First, why did you feel the need to replace one, or the other?

What was it doing that you did not want it to do???

The answer to this question will help me to determine if these components were in fact the root cause of your problem.

Once I know the answer to this question, I can move on to trying to help you resolve the condition.

The 10AS let the smoke out, burnt PCB circuit board. No door locks or crank after. Attempted to repair the circuit board and got it to run once after that. So I swapped in a new 10AS and ECM from a donor car, started once locks worked then once I parked it it never started.
when you turn the key to “start” do the instrument panel lights extinguish?

let’s try to narrow this down to a vehicle wiring issue, or ECM/10-AS issue

in the past 22 years of working solely on these silly trucks that I stupidly and completely irrationally love, I have not encountered this situation
