Hi everyone! I have an import question. Can import a D90 that was originally green, but the car is currently light grey? Will the change in color set off an alarm for homeland security? Thank you all in advance!!!

As long as the origin paperwork notes the color change you should be fine... but the paint may be concealing an unimportable condition

Thank you. But I don't follow. You are saying the is a possibility the paint change could make it un-importable? I checked the seller's paperwork and the paint change was registered and it shows in the documents. If you could explain a bit better it can only help. Thank you in advance!!! (y)

There are quality standards required to import a vehicle.

a rusted, non-roadworthy bucket with a fresh coat of paint may not suffice. Have you inspected personally or via a qualified intermediary?

@Wuayuu ... are you importing the D90 from here in England?
If so, the V5 paperwork (England’s vehicle registration paperwork) needs to reflect the current body color for importing to the states.

BTW... welcome to the forum.
