Good Morning, Toddicus! My inertia switch is located on the firewall, to the right of the washer fluid resivour, and to the left of the transmission fluid dipstick. It is a black rubber covered box w/ 2 wires running out of the bottom. Push down on the top of the rubber cover, if it clicks, it has been activated. If it doesn't click, it hasn't. Good Luck. LRW. (I have never had the inertia switch on my Rover activate, but have experienced this several times on ford vans)
