New Disco II owner here. Looking for recommendations for inexpensive side steps or running boards. My wife has a hard time climbing into our 2000 Discovery, and I'd like to add some steps/boards. Was looking at the Onki Volcanos (64"), but can't find much first-hand info online.

You could watch your local craigslist/junk yard for a set off a Discovery 1 or II. Probably be the cheapest method.

D1 & D2 share a frame and wheelbase so they should fit, but don't quote me on that.

The Onki units are universal fit, meaning you'd have to get a set of brackets separately, which would likely be pretty pricey.

I had a set of Romik boards on mine for a few years. Looked great and bolt on. Still readily available. Since price is a factor I'd say ebay/craigslist/u-pull-it are your best bets but even then you're probably looking at $200-$300.

From what I've read the work just fine without issue. I'm watching for a pair as well
