Land Rover Jaguar Anaheim Hills

Trans.: Automatic
Color: Yellow
Mileage: 1,167

"Less than 2000 miles.!"

Sounds like it's bone stock. Even with only 1100 miles, this is crazy.

Believe it or not, this doesn't surprise me.
We see a lot for sale in CO,,,(relatively speaking),,,and they are in the 30's & 40's if they are on a dealership lot with 50k+ miles.

I know,,,, it is insane. But it's supply & demand. LR is missing the boat big-time. If they came back out w/ an NAS Defender,,,a real one,,,they would make money, production costs & all.

Yeah, I know you're right, but cripes!

I know I could get at least $35K for mine cuz it's in good condition and only has 40K miles, but $75K for a soft top?!? Maybe I should take my 90 down to Anaheim and cash in.

I've read those stories before about the dealership that had a car in the showroom that they never sold for whatever reason. It just moved from one side to the other and before you know it someone sells it for a crazy amount. Not long ago I saw a D-90 for sale that still had the window sticker on it! I wonder if this is the same one? I think it was green though????

Some day I'd like to get a reasonably price D-90, 109 or 110 that needs some TLC to work on and bring back to showroom quality.

No doubt someone is going to buy that D-90 as an investment.

Why is that, no Defender sales in the States. It seems that more and more the so called trucks from GM, Ford, and Dodge are more for parking lots rather than dirt like a Defender. My GMC P/U 2500HD came with 245s street tires right out of the box! 45 miles on the truck from the dealership to the tire shop. I guess what I am ranting about are these trucks that are not really trucks. It would be nice to get a truck out of the box and into the dirt.

Ok I am done  I feel better.

That is pretty nice, but it is so hard to spend that much on a car that old...(Forgive me for saying that :D) I know how sweet they are, but I think if I was to spend that much it would have to be a 109 or 110. I would still want to be able to cart around the kids and dog. there's a 109 on auction at Ebay for 16,000k. I would have to ship it to Cali and put it all together.

Serg, I've never been to the British show and i'm totally looking forward to going! So there are cars for sale there? I was thinking of going on Saturday to try and get rid of some items at the swap meet.? Can't wait!

Insane is right!!!!! There are enough LRO people over here in the UK to source good rigs for export to the US to start a realy good LRO import biz. We could run the whole show LR wise in the US!!!!!Food for thought!!!! Could you imagine what a clean series vehicle would go for??????

You can't import a defender that is newer than 25 years old (and being that they didnt start making them til 1984, that means you can't import it in general!)

Generally what people will do is get all of the parts shipped over here and then rebuild it to new, which is probably what this person did.

How much would it cost to buy one in Britain and have it shipped to the US? Is that legal?
You could get a good series vehicle for about $3k. Shipping????No idea. Being most series vehicles are nearing the magic number year wise it is a possibility. Totaly legal. :)
