Well lets see here half the lights for the factory radio or not working, would like to keep it factory just because I like the weather band and I also have the disk changer (even though I dont use it to much as I have xm radio).

In addition not sure if these are suppose to light up or not, but the buttons for the front fog lights, the cruise control on/off button, the buttons for the windows/heated seats, and most of the buttons located right behind the steering wheel are all not lit up. I think the only one light up back there is the rear wiper on/off button. Are these suppose to have some kind of lighting to them when I turn on my lights? Also the interior lights dont come on when I open the pass. front door and one of the rear doors, works when the driver door, and rear cargo door are opened.

Anybody have any suggestions on where to start looking for a fix?

What year is your truck ?
For the radio, I would say, these lamps may be out of use (if some keep on working, probably you don't have any bad electrical contact in there)
For the dash-buttons, they're supposed to light with the ignition position of the key (or when you switch your lights on, depending on the country)
First check if you have 12V arriving on the multi-contact of the switch. If not, you have one wire disconnected inside the dash. Watch out, if you have 12 Volts, taht means the little bulb is out, and they are incredibly expensive here in Europe (I dunno for the US, but here it is about 6 Euros (+/- 7 dollars) per bulb)
When you open any of the 5 doors, the inside might be illuminated for xx minutes, after which an electronic module will switch them off, IF the door remains open (to save your battery). Check the switch on the lights itself, as well as the bulbs.

Hope this helps, will look further if you need more help

It is a 97 Discovery. Some of the radio lights do work, but not all. I can live with that.

As for the lighting when I open the doors. The light does come on when the driver side and cargo doors are opened, but when you open the front pass. door it doesnt light up no matter what.

Sounds like a bad door switch on the passanger door, not real common but it does happen.

yes indeed for the lighting.
try remove and clean the door switch. If it does not seem damaged, put the wire on some bare part of the chassis, and see if the lighting works. If yes, you have a bad switch. If not, there's a cut in the wire
