Intermittent Starting Issues

1796 Views 2 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  XX_Gar
2001 RR starts strong and runs good but when I turn the rig off I cannot turn it back on for ~1.5 hours. Rolls over but never catches. After apparently cooling down she starts just fine. It idles good and does high speed fine. Any ideas?

Looking for the schrader valve to test the fuel pressure

Fuel pressure good

Tested the fuel pressure at the rail and it held steady at 49. Even when it wouldn't start I still had fuel pressure. From reading on the forum it could be a crank sensor problem? why does the crank position keep it from starting at regular intervals?
Cam Shaft Sensor

Replaced the cam shaft sensor and all is well. Starting issue went away and engine light turned off. Been starting and running strong ever since
