Is it safe to assume I need a coil pack

After purchasing a non running truck and installing a used short block with all the usuals replaced, ie magnecor 8mm plug wires bosch +4s Im getting p0303. I've swap plugs and swapped the plug wire with a 7mm STI i had laying around, still no spark. Is it safe to assume the coil is bad or damaged.
